William "Jack" Jackson Gunther, 69, passed away Wednesday November 1, 2006 of a sudden illness at his home on 42 1/2 High Street in Logan. He was born and lived in Logan for 24 years. He formerly lived in Oxon Hill, MD for 44 years and worked for several Exxon Stations in the D.C Metro Area. He attended the First Nazarene Church of Logan. He was preceded in death by a son, William Tracy Gunther of Oxon Hill, MD and his father, John Elmer Gunther of Logan. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marilyn Lou Moore Gunther of Logan. His mother, Billie Elizabeth Gunther of Logan. His son, Timothy Ray (Diana) Gunther of California, MD, grandson, Kristopher Ray Gunther of California, MD and a brother, John (Sandra) Gunther of Ripley. Also surviving are his many nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Visitation will be Sunday November 5, 2006 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, November 6, 2006 at 2:00 P.M at the James Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
