Wilburn Morris Vannatter

Wilburn Morris Vannatter Jr., 73 of Holden passed away Friday March 25, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born June 24, 1942 in Cora, WV he was the son of the late Wilburn Morris Vannatter Sr. and Wilmeta Hankins Vannatter. In addition to his parents his was also preceded in death by his brother Louis Edward Vannatter; one grandchild Corey McPeek; and one great-grandchild Kamrin Ashcraft. Mr. Vannatter was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War and a parts clerk in the auto industry for many years. Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife Sherry Vannatter; his children Wilburn Morris Vannatter III (Chantee Blair); Jennifer (Leon) Brewer; Mona Walker (Mark Jordan) of Ashland, KY; Greg Vannatter of Ashland, KY; Brad (Trish) Vannatter of Ashland, KY; Connie Maynard of Grayson, KY; and Sandy Christian of Ironton, OH. Sisters: Patricia Ross of Cincinnati, OH; Helen Jean Bannaster of Charleston, WV; brother William Vannatter of Monaville. Grandchildren: Landon Paul Vannatter; Adeline Adams; Brooke Desirae Brewer; Justin & Skye of Indonesia; Ryan Walker; Kieyah & John Wallace of MO; Greg Vannatter II; Lauren & Landen Vannatter of MO; Zach & Ryan Young; Keely Vannatter; Angela & Chris Jones of OH; Shanna & Steven Keller of KY; Michael McPeek & Linda of NC; Jeremy McPeek of OH; April & Dewayne Ashcraft of NC. Great-Grandchildren: Lilly Faith Adkins; Erica Walker; Hunter Wallace; Trey & Taelyn Keller; Nicholas, Michkayla & Xyler McPeek; Kalib & Kloe Ashcraft. A visitation will be held Monday March 28, 2016 at James Funeral Home in Logan from 6-9 p.m. After the visitation per his wishes Mr. Vannatter’s remains are to be cremated.
