Wanda Lee Justice, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 89 years old at her home on Whitman Creek Road, Logan, WV. She was with her two children. Wanda was born in Holden, WV, on January 16, 1936 to Richard and Effie (Francis) Trogdon. She was a devoted daughter and sister to her family. Wanda was also a devoted wife to Benny Joe Justice for 68 years and mother to Timothy, John Kevin, and Mary Beth. She was always a source of strength and help for her family and friends.
Following her work at C&P Telephone as an operator and raising her children, Wanda worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for 11 years at Royal Crown Bottling Company, Mico, WV. She was known for her strong work ethic, her honesty, and friendliness. Wanda’s real vocation was caring for her family and friends. She was always busy meeting the needs of others by cooking, visiting, driving, or doing anything necessary to minister to those with a need.
Wanda was a faithful member of the #20 Whitman Community Church.
Wanda is survived by her children, Timothy Justice and Mary Beth (Earl) Holstein and grandchildren, Cassie (Jeff) Isaacs, Kristen Justice, John K. Justice, II, Whitney (Kory) Holder, Lauren (Zachary) McClung, Alex Justice, Ryan (Madison) Holstein, Bryan (Baili) Justice, and Anna Holstein. Wanda also is survived by many great and great-great-grandchildren: Jacob Issacs, Jaxson Issacs, Danny Hazlewood, Ezra Hazlewood, Olivia Craddock, Hanna Justice, Preston Justice, Parker Justice, Mason Justice, Kynlee Holder, Kelsee Holder, and Adler McClung; sisters, Janice Brown, Reba Kay Bailey, Virginia Sony, and Henrietta Casper.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Effie Trogdon, and siblings June, Billy, Richard, Alva, James Arland, William Fredrick, and Ulinda, her husband, Benny Justice, and her son, John Kevin Justice, and grand-daughter, Katrina DeBord..
Visitation for family and friends will be at the #20 Whitman Community Church, Thursday, May 8, 2025, 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be at the church on Friday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
