Virginia Finley, 90, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Born December 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Estill Wilburn and Edna Sloan Wilburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Finley Jr.
Virginia opened the first Federal Black Lung office in the county in Logan. She also worked for the West Virginia State Police and loved to sing and dance.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons: Patrick Finley of Blackwood, New Jersey and Michael Finley of Logan; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.
A graveside service will take place at 12 p.m. on Monday, Sep. 8, 2014 at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby. Friends may gather at the James Funeral Home Chapel in Aracoma from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 7, 2014.
