Virginia (Buck) Ellis

Virginia “Buck” Ellis, 60, of Whitman, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her home. Born March 10, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Jane McCloud Meade. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sons: Jason Ellis and Dwayne Ellis. Those left to cherish her memory include: her companion, Randy Belcher; mother, Mary Jane McCloud Meade; eight brothers: Roger Meade, Leonard Meade, William Meade, Melvin Meade, Johnny Meade, Eric Meade, Timmy Meade, and David Meade; three sisters: Sherry Lowe, Rachel Jones, and Patricia White; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends. Virginia also dearly loved her dogs: Rosie, Buddy, Ketchup, and Moses. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the James Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden in Godby. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014.
