Vaughan Gartin

Vaughan Gartin, 70 of Chapmanville departed this life Tuesday March 13, 2018. He was born August 30, 1947 to the late Arthur and Nora Gartin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: four brothers, Chester, Wayne, Harold, and Tracy Gartin. Vaughan served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. He was a retired Federal Mine Inspector and a member of the Fountain of Life Worship Center. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and working at church. Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Vonda Ferrell Gartin; son, Eric (Angela) Gartin; three daughters, Misty (Robert) Carrico, Sabrina (Daniel) Gartin, and Brittany (Trevor) Smith; five grandchildren, Alexandria Gartin, Cara Gartin, Jaidan Savage, Brady Carrico, and Jacob Carrico; brother, Arvel Gartin; and sister, Dolly Ooten. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday March 16, 2018 at the Fountain of Life Worship Center, 301 Daniel Boone Parkway Foster, WV 25081, with Pastor Ronnie Luke officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, 42 Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547.
