Troy James Bryant

Troy James Bryant, 73 of Sun Beam, Ethel, WV passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born February 10, 1947 to the late Newcome Bryant and Vonnie Adams Bryant. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Eva Gail Adams Bryant; and brother, Scottie Bryant. James worked many jobs, retiring from the coal field in the early 90’s. James loved to hunt and fish. He loved gardening, spending time with his family, and he was one of the best horseshoe pitchers around. He is survived by his children, Randy (Paula) Bryant, Robin (Robert) Patrick, Susie (Eric) Decker, and Belinda Bryant; grandchildren, Allie and Shawn Bryant, Samantha Patrick, Tiffany, Emily, and Olivia Decker, Heather and Troy Estep; brothers, Ernie, Steve, Mark, Derrick, and Anthony Bryant; sisters, Diccie Hager, Virginia Fenner, Lemmie Bryant, Tammy Bryant, Vanessa Bartram, and Dianna Adkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery at Browns Run. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Friday, August 21, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governor’s guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
