Tommy Randolph Damron, 62 of Logan went home to be with the Lord November 24, 2024, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 31, 1962, at Logan to the late Massie and Laura (Nelson) Damron. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Aubrey Rose Damron, granddaughter, Faith Lynn Meade, sister, Rosemary Damron, brother, Billy Ray Damron, and childhood friend, Michael Evans.
Tommy was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a retired cross-country truck driver, and golf superintendent. He loved to garden. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, cooking out, and having family get togethers, feeding the birds, he said it brought him joy and love watching the birds.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Loretta Damron of Logan; children, Thomas (Rosa) Damron of GA, Michael Damron (Angelica Smith) of Logan, Joshua (Alesa) Southers of Logan, and Tiffanie (Joshua) Butner of Logan; grandchildren, Anabelle Vance, Zoey Southers, Abigayle Vance, Gaige Southers, “Lil” Mikey Damron, Sean Butner, Terry Ray Butner, and Atticus Damron; brothers, Massie (Polly) Damron, Ricky Damron, Lonnie Damron, and Grady Damron; sisters, Doris Michaloff, and Theresa McKinnen, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
