Tommy Chafin

Tommy chafin, 82 of Holden, WV went to be with the Lord on Thusday, February 18, 2010. He was the son of the Late Edward and Roxie Tomblin Chafin Smith and the Late Joe Smith. He was also preceeded in death by 1 brother Edward (Eddie) Chafin and 2 nephews, Frankie Adam and Bobby Adam. He was a life long resident of Holden, WV. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He was retired from the Logan County Board of Education. Tommy was survived by 2 sisters, Lana Smith (Tom) Marcum and Anna Mae Chafin Adam Travis of Stratford, CT; nephews Chris(Lisa) Chafin of Logan, Joey Marcum of Holden, and Billy Adam of CT; nieces, Kelli Chafin of Holden, Tina Chafin (Andy) Miller of Sod, Lori Marcum (Jason) Mathis of Holden, and Melissa Adam of CT; several great nieces and great nephews, and 2 special cousins, Lynn Chafin (Richie) Soltis of Cleveland, OH and Peggy Chafin Richards of Holden. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday February 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Light officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetary at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be Saturday February 20,2010 at1:00 PM at James Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Tom Marcum, Chris Chafin, Joey Marcum, Jason Mathis, Justin Marcum, and Fred Hutchinson.
