Theresa Louise Blankenship

Theresa Louise Blankenship 49 of Ethel passed away Saturday April 4, 2009 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 19, 1959 in Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of Joanne and Kenneth Nelson of Verdunville and the late Gary Price. Preceding her in death were her grandparents Luther and Lizzie Damron and Ray and Mae Price. Also preceding her in death were her siblings Joan Leslie Price Collins, Michael Ricky Price and Pamela Sue Lambert. She was a cook at Morrisons Drive Inn. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Willard (Rocky) Blankenship, One Son Brandon (Tabitha) Blankenship, Two Stepsons Dustin (Carla) Blankenship and James T. Deskins, Three Grandchildren Katelyn and Austin Blankenship of Marmet and Jacob Blankenship of Beech Creek, Four Sisters Angel (Aaron) Burgess of Verdunville, Bobbie Turley of Cross Lanes, Rhonda (Barry) Stutesman of Prescott, Michigan and Libby (Gary) Nickens of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Three Brothers Gary (Violet) Price of Harts, Danny (Misty) Price of Holden and Luther Price of Maryland. Theresa will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday April 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday April 7, 2009 at James Funeral Home. I will always miss her. She will always have a place in my heart. I know that for a fact. She was a very good person. She would always play with Me and my brother Austin. We loved to play sorry.

I loved then, I love her now, always have always will. I love her so much. Once again I would like to thank all the people that have came to JFH. They did a wonderful job. My mommy tolled me that she used to listen to a song back and fourth. And the singer is Carrie Underwood..... she is a good singer. The son that Mamaw Threasa listened to was " I Tolled You So".

Angel, I am so very sorry about the loss of your sister, my heart goes out to you and your family. I did not know your sister but I have eaten at Morrison's several times, and I know Theresa will be greatly missed by many. God Bless You & Your Family. James FH did wonderful with my mom's services. They were very courteous,compassionate and helpful. Mom was very special and will be dearly missed and always loved. Thanks to all who attended.
