Teresa Luther

Teresa Gail Luther, 64 of Ethel, WV went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 16th, 2026, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY.

She was born August 13, 1961 in Logan, WV to Lonnie and Freda (Craddock) Meeks. Teresa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orville and Vesta Craddock; paternal grandparents, Lonnie Meeks and Sadie Ferrell; and her aunt, Ann Cantrell, who was like a second mother to her.

Teresa was a faithful member and servant of Christ at the Bright Star Freewill Baptist Church at Melville where she played the piano and taught Sunday School classes. She loved spending time with her family and making memories with her granddaughters at cheer competitions.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her parents include her husband of 45 years, Jon Luther; her children, Brittney Hartman (Trey); Caleb Luther; and Alexis Erwin (Ethan); grandchildren, Hadley Hartman, and Hollyn Hartman; siblings, Rick Meeks, Larry Meeks, and Jeanetta Imes (Frank). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, at the funeral home.
