Teresa June Osborne Bevins, 56 of Pigeon Roost departed this life January 22 at her residence after a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gherigâs Disease.
Teresa was born May 14, 1961 at Man Appalachian Hospital, daughter of Mae Noel Osborne and the late Frank W. Osborne. She was a long-time teacherâs aide in the Logan County School System and a devoted member of the Central United Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their motorcycle through the 48 contiguous states and throughout the North American continent, spending time at the beach and playing with her three cats. She followed the ups and downs of the St. Louis Cardinals, her favorite team for nearly 30 years.
In addition to her mother she is survived by: her husband of nearly 34 years, Ernest Eugene âGeneâ Bevins, their twin children Rebekah (Jon) Huff of Richmond, KY and Jonathan Bevins of Glenville, WV. She is also survived by: two sisters, Anne (Glen) Cooper of St. Albans and Darla Thompson of Charleston. Teresa was a loving, fun, and playful aunt to four nieces, one nephew, two great nieces, and three great-nephews.
The family would like to thank the women of the Central United Baptist Church for their compassion and care during her illness, and the generosity and concern of their next-door neighbors, John and Karen Toth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday January 26 at the Central United Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Skeens and her cousin, Rev. Chelsey Noel Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. There will be no visitation
Pallbearers will be: Rev. Bobby Adams, Rev. Rick Adkins, Rev. Lonnie Gore, Steve Burgh, Donsil Mullins, and Bill Wooten.
