Tammy Carter

Tammy Lea (Collins) Carter 44 of Charleston formerly of Logan passed away Tuesday June 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Cecil and Mary Williams of Holden and the late Kenneth Collins Sr. She was also preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and one granddaughter Shyann Akers. Tammy was employed by Sam's Hot Dog Stand in Charleston and loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed time spent with her Jack Rusell Charlie. In addition to her parents she is also survived by one daughter Mary Anne Akers of Charleston with whom she made her home, one son Kenneth James (Stephanie) Akers of Jacksonville, North Carolina, two brothers Kenneth (Laura) Collins Jr. of Monaville and Cecil (Leigh Anne) Williams Jr. of Banner, Ky., one sister Angela Williams (Mike) Allie of Logan, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 12, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lacy Cox Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Friday June 11,2010 at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Akers, Mike Allie, Brad Skinner, Cecil Williams, Kenneth Collins and Greg Davidson.
