STEVE KELEMEN
Logan, W.Va. â Steve Kelemen, 87, of Mitchell Heights, departed this life Monday, February 1, 2016, at his residence.
Born March 25, 1928, at Logan, W.Va., he was a son of the late Jim and Mary Kelemen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his much loved wife, Estel E Kelemen; two brothers, Jim and Joe Kelemen; three sisters, Irene Kyer, Mary and Elizabeth Kelemen, and one grandson, Benjamin Kelemen.
Steve will be remembered for his loving commitment to wife, family and friends and for his sense of humor. He had a lifelong love of trains and was a long time employee of C&O Railroad. He was also a long time member of the West Logan Church of God. It was in church that Steve acquired many special friends over the years including Irene Browning and Frank Cole. Steve was also blessed to have many caring friends and neighbors in âthe circleâ.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Stephanie (John) Russell; two sons, Jim and Joseph (Bethany) Kelemen and seven grandchildren, Joe, Joshua (Stephanie), James and CJ Kelemen and Megan, Daniel and Sara Russell. He is also survived by a special niece Mary Moore, who along with his grandson Joe, provided much compassion and care during Steveâs latter years.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 6 at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill WV. Visitation will be from 11am-1 pm prior to services.
Pallbearers will be family and Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Cole, Ray Podunavac, Darrell and Anthony Moore and Virgil Meade.
James Funeral Home at Aracoma, WV, is in charge of arrangements.
