Sherman Baisden

Sherman Baisden 86 years old of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday February 7, 2010 at his home with his family and friends at his bedside. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Katie Conley Baisden. Three Sisters Bama Chapman, Sally Blair and Zella Blair. One Brother Wayne Baisden, One Son Sherman Baisden Jr. and One Grandson Elvis Baisden Jr. Those left to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years Mary Alma Baisden, nine children Cassie (Norman) Williamson, Sandra Grimmett of Verdunville, Hassie (Darrell) Conley of Van, Bo (Sylvia) Baisden, Lassie Blackburn, Cookie (Jerry) Copley, Elvis (Debbie) Baisden, Vella (Jimmy) Finley and Sally Maynard all of Dingess. Also 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all his grandkids and great grandkids. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt. Hope Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess with Rev. Cornelius Lackey and Rev. James Ed Baisden officiating. Burial will follow in the Baisden Family Cemetery at East Fork of Twelve Pole. Service arrangements at the church by Rev. Matt Wilson. Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the church. Pallbearers will be Adrian Baisden, George Baisden, Gar Baisden, Bill Baisden, Lee Williamson, Lil Jerry Copley, Shannon Blackburn, Kevin Grimmett, Jason Conley, Michael Bailey and Bobby Chapman.
