Shelvie Jean McNeely

Shelvie Jean McNeely 73 of Barboursville formerly of Logan passed away Monday March 8, 2010 at Cabell Huntington in Huntington following a long illness. She was born July 8, 1936 in Logan. She was the daughter of the late Mose and Alice Messer Newsome. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" McNeely, 2 brothers Freelan and Herman Newsome and 1 sister Nora Isaacs. Survivors include 2 daughters Beverly McKinnon of Huntington and Nancy Bryant of West Logan, 2 sons Gary (Drema) McNeely of Cyclone and David (Sue) McNeely of Logan, 1 brother Mose Newsome Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, 3 sisters Christine Miller, Grace Schuster and Faye Moore all of Cleveland, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
