In Loving Memory of Sandra Sue Wells December 11, 1946 – July 6, 2025

Sandra Sue Wells, 78, of Logan, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.

Born in Logan on December 11, 1946, Sue was the daughter of the late Ali and Lillian Browning. She graduated from Logan High School in 1965 and remained close with many of her classmates throughout her life, always cherishing those lifelong friendships.

Sue dedicated her career to accounting, working for many years with Russell Business Services in Stollings, WV. Outside of work, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved music, was always busy with projects around the house, and was an avid reader. She especially treasured traveling with her siblings and spending time together at Smith Mountain Lake.

She is survived by her loving children, Melissa Deer (Shawn), Brandon Wells (Angela); her beloved grandchildren, Austin Deer, Mady Wells, and Landon Wells; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Addison Deer and Amarri Akers. She is also survived by her siblings, Mike Browning (Jody), Jim Browning (Maria), and Sharon Faine (James); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Akers Funeral Home in West Logan, WV. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Floral arrangements are being coordinated by Akers Funeral Home.

Sandra’s legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
