Sammy Ken Reed

Sammy Ken Reed, born October 10, 1961, in Detroit, MI but raised on Turkey Creek, KY died December 31, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Louise (Maynard) Reed, and additional family Eddie Reed, Ritchie Reed, and Ricky Lee Reed Jr.

He was a retired mechanic and loved his family, friends, football, and Doberman pinchers, which he wanted another of.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Lois Renay Reed; sons, Sammy Reed Jr, and Arlin Reed; “his girls”, Cheyenne Carroll and Shannon Carroll; 8 grandchildren, brother-in-law, Bobby Mills; brothers, Rick (Joan) Reed, Charles Patrick Reed, Carlena Reed, and Jerry (Jennifer) Reed; many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends including, Darrell McCoy, Kimberly Huff Martino, Ernest McCoy, Mike Hall, and Jerry Haynes.

Honoring his wishes his remains have been cremated and no services held.
