Sammy Lee Ooten

Sammy Lee Ooten, 62 of Delbarton, WV departed this life Sunday, June 20, 2021. He was born September 23, 1958, at Holden, WV to the late Elmer and Ida (Runyon) Ooten. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel Ooten and Michael Ooten. He is survived by his brothers, George Ooten, and Columbus Ooten; sisters, Delores Marcum, Glenda Provo, Ruth Ooten, Debra Ooten, Shelia McCoy, Peggy Ooten, and Helen McGraw. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Lilly of the Valley Freewill Baptist Church at Riffe Branch. Burial will follow in the Ooten-Runyon Family Cemetery at Riffe Branch. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Sunday at the church.
