Roy David Browning

Reverend Roy David Browning, 80 of Logan passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his residence. He was born January 6, 1940 at Logan, WV to the late Ace and Cloe (Williamson) Browning. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Darin Browning; 6 brothers, and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Spangler) Browning; sons, David Browning, Bobby Browning, and Jerry Browning; daughters, Cynthia (Browning) Hall and Susan (Browning) Hall; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bob Browning. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of the service, Monday at the funeral home. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governor’s guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
