Rosemary Adams, a longtime resident of Logan, West Virginia, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 87.


Born on May 6, 1939, Rosemary was a woman defined by her deep faith and her immense love for her family.


Rosemary was the beloved daughter of the late Elzie and Roberta Burgess of Chauncey, West Virginia. She found great joy and comfort in her faith and loved attending church regularly. Above all else, her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her family, creating memories that her loved ones will cherish forever.


She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Randall Adams, who passed away in 2019, as well as her dear brothers, Paul Burgess, Bruce Burgess, and Elzie Burgess Jr., and her sister, Ethel Wolfe.


Rosemary’s legacy of love lives on through her surviving family, including her daughters, Billie (Chris) Ray of Bluff City, Tennessee, and Robin Thomas of Lexington, Kentucky; her brother, Freddie (Vickie) Burgess of Colorado; brother-in-law James Wolfe and her sister-in-law, Glenna Burgess.


She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Nicole (Larry) Brown of Davin, West Virginia; her grandsons, Caleb Ray of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Ricky Hayes, Robby Hayes, and Doug Hayes, all of Lexington, Kentucky; and her adored great-grandchildren, Destiny Brown, Tytan Ray, and Alylah Ray.


The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the entire staff of the Logan Center for the exemplary, compassionate care they provided to Rosemary throughout her time with them.



As per Rosemary’s explicit wishes, the family will honor her life with a graveside service only. The service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026 in the Whitman Family Cemetery at Crooked Creek with Allen Brown officiating.
