Ricky Patrick

Rick E. Patrick, 66, of Brighton, MI., passed away January 11th, he was born in Logan, WV May 1, 1955. He moved from Logan to the Detroit area of Michigan in 1973 to make a better life and that he did.

In addition to family values, Rick was an extremely intelligent, loving hard working person. Outstanding toolmaker/welder. One of very few, if not perhaps, the only one, in the world who could perform his type of work and was recognized as knowledgeable and experienced engineering his field.

He was the loving husband of Brenda Patrick. Beloved father to Ricky Newsted, Lorie Matthews -Perrine, Richard Patrick; doting Papa to Trenton Newstead and Alyvia Patrick; big brother to Debbie Miller, Penny Pridemore, Michael, James Lovejoy, and Johnny Philipski.

Rick has joined his mother, father, grandmothers, grandfathers and aunts and uncles…welcomed withopen arms. This is not goodbye bit seeyou when I get there.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2022, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Peggy Zielinksi officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Monday at the funeral home.
