Richard P. Tomblin

Richard P. Tomblin of Indianapolis, IN passed away Thursday November 24, 2016. He was born May 13, 1944 in Logan, WV to the late Troy and Pauline Baker Tomblin. He was a 1963 graduate of Logan High School. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years and for 18 of those year he reported to Grissom Air Force Base. He retired from Navistar in 2000 after working there for 32 years. Richard was a member of the Beech Grove Masonic Lodge #694, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, UAW Local #98 as well as the American Legion. Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Frazier Tomblin; son, Darren Tomblin of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Bridgette Graham of Artesia, NM; aunt Joan Boyd of North Carolina, and several cousins. A graveside service will be held Friday December 2 at 1 p.m. in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Rev. Joaquine Ooten officiating.
