Ralph Doyle Workman Logan, WV – Ralph Doyle Workman, 53, of Logan, WV moved into his heavenly home on Thursday, December 31, 2015, leaving from his home surrounded by family and friends after an extended illness. Born March 21, 1962, in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Clyde Workman, Sr (Dave). In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herbert Hassell Workman and Laura Baisden Workman, maternal grandparents, David Delaney Clark and Erma Clark , one brother, Clyde Workman, Jr., and his father in law, Jimmie Farmer. Ralph was a proud and loyal member of Orville Holiness Church for 20 years where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent for 11 years. Ralph also enjoyed participating in church functions and cutting the grass of the church and anyone who needed it with the help of his favorite John Deere. Ralph loved spending time with family and trips to Pigeon Forge, TN with his loving wife. He was an avid fisherman. He loved fishing with his family and two very special friends, Bruce Johnson and Martin Miller. He also enjoyed watching and attending Nascar events and WVU events with his son. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 30 years, Cherri Workman; his son, Joshua Workman; his mother, Deena Meadows; his mother-in-law, Yvonne Gay Farmer; his brothers, David (Carla) Workman; Eugene (Pam) Workman; Roy Workman; and Paul (Becca) Workman; his sisters, Judy (Roy) Mullins and Erma (Lee) Smith; Brothers-in-law, Randy Branham and Jimmy (Misty) Farmer; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Also, his best four legged children, Butch and Dixie. Funeral services will be held at Orville Holiness Church on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 12:00pm with Rev. Walter Hawkins, Marchetia Hawkins, and Martin Miller, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6pm-9pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at James Funeral Home in Aracoma. Pallbearers will be his son, Joshua Workman, Jimmy Farmer, Randy Branham, David Workman, David Lee Workman, and Martin Miller, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers include Eugene Workman, Roy Workman, Paul Workman, Jimmie Farmer, Ralph Reagan, Olin Reagan, William Reagan, James Reagan, Bruce Johnson, James Chafin, Hershel Berry, and all past and present members of Orville Holiness Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of James Funeral Home of Aracoma. In lieu of flowers and gifts the family ask that donations be made to Orville Holiness Church Po Box 486, Pecks Mill, WV 25547, to support the various community support and outreach in which Ralph loved participating.
