Peggy McKinney

Peggy Cox McKinney 83 of Aracoma ended her courageous battle Alzheimer's on Tuesday November 2, 2010 at home. She was born November 26, 1927 in mONAVILLE, West Virginia daughter of the late Elbert Cox Sr. and Recie Snow Cox. In addition to her parents Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband Allen McKinney, brother Elbert Cox Jr., sister Betty Cox Maynard and nephew Byron Cox. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Janie Barr Monroe (Joe), son Gerald Barr, daughter Suzie Barr Wells (Fred) and daughter Vicki Barr all of Phoenix, Arizona. Grandchildren Rebecca Monroe Osuch (John), Christopher Wells, Jasper Barr and Wille Barr of Phoenix, Arizona. Great Grandchildren Grace and Maxwell Osuch and Malachi Barr of Phoenix, Arizona. Sister Midge Cox whom she made her home with and Brother Bill Cox (Ruth) of Point Pleasant, West Virgina and Brother-in-law Stanford Maynard and Niece Patty Maynard. Peggy worked at the National Bank of Logan and Sayer Brothers. She was a member of the West Logan Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted Friday November 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the West Logan Church of God with Pastor Scotty Dingess and Rev. Roger Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Thursday November 4, 2010 at the Church.
