Peggy Blankenship Mayhorn

Peggy Mayhorn 67 of Henlawson departed this life Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born March 1, 1949 in Logan a daughter of the late Ivan Jack & Dorothy Burton Blankenship. Peggy was a cook for the Logan County School System and also worked at Nu-Era Bakery. She is survived by her husband Thomas R. Mayhorn, her daughter Sherri Mayhorn Balentine of Lexington, NC. Sisters Nona Vinson of Denton, NC and Lisha Spry of Logan, WV. Grandchildren Brayden, Jaxson and Sadie. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Akers-James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Meade officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 on Wednesday also at the funeral home. Akers-James Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
