Peggy Sue Booth

Peggy Sue Booth of Mount Gay passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at Dignity Hospice House in Chapmanville, WV. She was born April 24, 1950 to the late Earl and Nora Compton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Mills, brothers, Johnny and Jackie Compton. She was a member of the Mount Gay Freewill Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years, Thurman Booth, daughter, Lisa Booth Mayhew, grandsons, Jordan and Alex "Melvin" Mayhew, sisters, Linda Lockhart and Iris Tyler, & brother Roger Compton. Services will be held at Akers-James Funeral Home on Saturday, August 05, 2017 @ 1 pm with Rev. Layton Lockhart officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
