Patricia Shamblin

Patricia Shamblin, 83 of Logan departed this life Tuesday May 1, 2018 at CAMC General Hospital at Charleston, WV. She was born May 31, 1934 at Stone, KY to the late Moss and Flossie Blackburn Haynes. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Benton Shamblin; sisters, Dorothy Lee, Babaette Johnson, Elanor White, and Jeaneene Lee. Mrs. Shamblin was a member of the Stollings Christian Church. Those left to cherish her memory include: her son, Steve Shamblin of Tennessee; daughter, Sherry (Mike) Steele of South Carolina; brother, Sam Haynes; sisters, Margrett McNeely and Daphenia Whitman; grandson, Shane Steele; and great-grandson, Jackson Griffin Steele. Visitation will be from 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday May 5, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan. A graveside service will immediately follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
