Norma Sue Farmer, 58 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Logan Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Norma was born on April 23, 1964, in Logan, WV to the late Roy and Marie Vance. She was proceeded in death by her parents, and her husband John Farmer, and 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Norma is survived by her son John (Natasha) Farmer of Logan, 2 sisters, 4 grandsons Aidan, Dakota, Braxtyn, and Little John. 5 special church babies Abel, Eli, Joel, Lydia, and Jayden. Which, she enjoyed being able to spend time with. She loved them with all her heart. Also, 4 very special freinds Danette Gore, Melvin Meade, Connie Sheppard, and Earl McCoy. Along with many, many other freinds who she loved.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Norma was a beautiful child of God and an active member of Mount Zion Baptist Church on Canoe Branch in Chapmanville. She loved her church and her church family. Norma had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for others.
Family and friends can visit from 5-9 on Tuesday, August 23 and the funeral services starting at 2:00 on Wednesday, August 24 with Brother Allen Ferguson, and Brother Tony Deer officiating at the Mount Zion
Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brandon Ferguson, Zachery Vance, Earl McCoy, Randy Vinson, Jerry Vance, Aidan Farmer, Dakota Farmer, Little John Farmer. Honorary pallbearer Melvin Meade.
