Noka Maynard Bowen Brown

Noka Maynard Bowen Brown, 67 of Logan departed this life Monday June 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 16, 1950 in Holden, WV to the late Lathan Maynard and Helen Workman Maynard. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her son, Shawn Bowen; her husband, Donnie Brown; and her brother, Donnie Maynard. Noka was a member of the Logan High School Class of 1969. She was a Christian and loved everyone. She is survived by her sister, Deborah (Jerry) Mounts; daughter, Rachel; brother, Jimmy; special niece, Amy who helped with her care; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nephews, cousins, and friends. Honoring her wishes her remains are to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday June 23, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Skeens officiating.
