Nawatha Perry

Nawatha Perry, 89 of Henlawson, WV peacefully passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Logan Regional Medical Center with her loved ones by her side.

Nawatha was born December 6, 1933, in Shivley, WV to the late Jim Farley and Molly Hensley of Harts, WV. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Sherman Perry; children, Larry Perry, Dennis Perry, Diane (Lester) Farmer, Brenda Perry, and grandson, Larry Perry Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Phillip) Killen of Henlawson; grandchildren, Meliah (Shane) Harris, Lester “Bubby” (Nikki) Farmer, Brenda Jo (Davy) Killen, Brian Perry, Trish LaRoux (CyLee), Dennis (Nikki) Perry, and Steven Perry; 9 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, and very special nieces that she loved dearly.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Allen Young who came to visit her at her home. Nawatha will be missed dearly but we also know she was a woman of faith and was ready to see our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Akers-James Funeral home with Rev. Manasses Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, also at the funeral home.
