Naomi Grace Long

Mrs. Robert (Naomi) Long, Age 90 born in Auxier, KY, departed this life Saturday November 14, 2015 at her residence in Holden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert W. Long. Also preceding her in death were her parents B.C. Lohr and Pride Meadows Lohr, three brothers, Mark, James, and Robert Lohr and three sisters, Myrtle, Bearnice, and Elsie. Surviving her are her children Jim (Dixie) of Verdunville, John {Shawn) of Charleston, WV, Randall (Ka􀁬hy) of Ackworth, GA, and Linda (Rod) Sizemore of Dallas, GA. nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Na started her career as a registered nurse in 19􀁭7 at Holden Hospital. She served as Director of Nursing from 1963-1971. She retired from Guyan Valley as Director of Nursing in 1980. Na sang in the Holden Community Church choir and was a faithful member of the church until it became The Lord's House. She loved the lord and was ready to go being prayed up, and looking up, waiting to be called up. Services will be held at James Funeral Home at Aracoma Wednesday Nov. 18th, visitation will be 5-6:30 with the funeral to follow with Rev. Bobby Wooten and Brother Bill Wooten officiating. A grave side service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. for family and friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Robby, Jason, John Randall, Jacob and Merritt Long, Zach Sizemore and Steven Elrod. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to St. Jude, or Special Olympics of WV. James Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
