Missel (Workman) Prichard 86 of Cleveland, Ohio went home to be with her heavenly Father and beloved husband on Wednesday July 13, 2011. Born August 15, 1924 at Chapmanville, WV she was the oldest daughter of the late James and Samantha Bryant Workman. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 43 years Walter Virgil Prichard in 1995, her sister Roxie Alice Smith, her brothers Byrd, Con, Foster, Nathan and Vernon "Hood" Workman all of Logan, WV. On December 29, 1952 she married Walter Virgil Prichard in Logan, WV and then relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she made her home. Missel was a homemaker, a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a friend of many. She loved her family and God very much. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her family and friends and sitting on her porch. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory forever and to miss her dearly include her daughter Teresa Regina Prichard of Cleveland, Ohio, her son Walter Lee (Tammy) Prichard of Cleveland, Ohio, her grandchildren Nicholas Lee Prichard of North Olmstead, Ohio, Joseph Walter Prichard of Cleveland, Ohio, her great grand Madelynn Elizabeth (Maddie) Prichard daughter of Joseph, her sister Nettie Mae Prichard and brother-in-law (who was like a brother to her) Lonnie Prichard of Columbia Station, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday July 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church at Mud Fork with Rev. Elbert Collins Jr. officiating. Burila will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Harts. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Thursday July 21, 2011 at James Funeral Home.. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Lee Prichard, James Truman (J.T.) Smith, Chad Smith, Rick Meade, Donald Baisden Jr., and Gary Doss.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lonnie Prichard and George Smith.
