Mary Lou Stafford 81 of Delbarton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1929 in Washington County, Va. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie Spriggs. In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her loving husband Willard Don Chafin of 37 years and Brack Stafford of 16 years, 1 brother Robert Spriggs and 3 sisters Mae Shaw, Pauline Spriggs and Myrtle Proklevich. Those left to cherish her memories include Joann (Harold) Marcum and Mary (Forest) Howard both of North Manchester, Ind., Donald Marlene Chafin, Ronald (Barbara) Chafin of Delbarton, Jewel (Ward) Gartin of Taylorville and James (Jennifer) Chafin of South Point, Ohio, 2 sisters Josephine Osborne of Lundale, WV and Rochelle Thompson of Logan Center, Logan, WV, 21 loving grandchildren, 45 loving great grandchildren and 5 loving great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday February 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Johnny May and Vinny Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Saturday February 20, 2010 at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her loving grandsons.
