Martha Hensley

Martha Hensley 72 of Mill Creek left this world Friday January 29, 2010 at Logan Regional Medical Center after fighting a long illness. Martha was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a business lady being the former owner of the Old Coal Miner's Lounge at Cherry Tree. Precedinger her in death were her parents Lewis and Bessie Ratliff Sheppard, One son Timmy Sheppard and eight brothers Earnest Pack, Thomas, Willis, Howard, Tommy, Frank and John L. Sheppard and two sisters Zeta and Florence Pack. Those left to cherish her memories include her devoted husband of 37 years Ralph Hensley. one special brother Harrison Sheppard of Rossmore, her children Dreama Varney of Switzer, Eugene Belcher of Mill Creek, Freddy Belcher of Logan and David and (Susie) Sheppard of Welch, WV. Grandchildren Marcia and (Brandon) White of Mill Creek, Brian Belcher of Logan and Timothy Ray Sheppard of Lake. Great Grandchildren Gage White, Hannah White and Rikki White all of Mill Creek and David Wayne Sheppard of Welch, WV. Her nephews are Mike and (Kim) Sheppard of Rossmore, Jakey and (Natalie) Sheppard, Jimmy and (Shannon) Sheppard and Joey and (Randy) Sheppard all of Rossmore. Lewis Dale and Shelia Sheppard of Stirrat, Joshua Sheppard of West Logan, Fredrick Dale and Kim Sheppard of Holden, Tee Adkins and (Morgan) Of Henlawson, Jacob Adkins, Dustin Sheppard, Matthew Sheppard and Christopher Sheppard all of Stirrat. Toney Deer of Rossmore, Matthew (Bo Bo) and Kristin Bryant of Illinois and William Thomas Sheppard of Logan. Her neices Jeanette and Thomas Adkins of Logan, Leann Hicks of Logan, Helenia and Larry Hubbard of Switzer, Crystal and Donnie Adkins, Janet Renee and Mike Romans of Stirrat, Hannah Adkins of Stirrat, Jasmine Adkins of Logan, Samantha Adkins of Henlawson, Allie Jean Hubbard, Emily Adkins of Logan, Halleigh Sheppard, Beth Sheppard and Kalylee Sheppard all of Stirrat. Renee and Roy Marsingill of Whitman, Angie and Donnie Sheppard of Ohio, Jeanie Williams of Switzer, Connie Sheppard of Whitman and Robin Sheppard of Mt. Gay. One special sister-in-law Joyce Sheppard. Martha had many special friends including Deana Knight and Billy Ruth both of Logan and Cecil Belcher of Columbus, Ohio her childrens father. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 4,, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday February 3,, 2010 at James Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eugene Belcher, Brian Belcher, Brandon White, Mike Sheppard, Jimmy Sheppard, Joey Sheppard, Jakey Sheppard and Glen Beckett.
