Marilyn Lou Gunther, 71, of Logan passed away peacefully at Logan Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 27, 2014. She was the daughter of the late John and Sylvia Moore.
She was born and lived in Logan County for 27 years. She formally lived in Oxon Hill, Maryland for 44 years. She worked for the Prince Georges County Public Schools in Maryland as a cook. She attended Logan Church of Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. (Jack) Gunther of Logan and a son, William T. (Tracy) Gunther of Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Ray (Diana) Gunther of California, Maryland; a grandson, Kristopher Ray (Kourtney Selly) Gunther of Logan; and two great-granddaughters, Kianna Aayiah Gunther and Kyleigh Shea Gunther of Logan; one brother-in-law, John (Sandra) Gunther of Ripley; and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the James Funeral Home Chapel in Aracoma. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby. Visitation will be between 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the James Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Logan, WV.
