Marie Copley

Marie Copley, 96 of Dingess, WV, left this earthly life on March 19, 2018 at her home. She was born August 28, 1921 to the late Nathan and Nancy Deskins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ira (Noon) Copley; daughter, Vella Faye Copley Maynard; son, Jerry Lee Copley; brothers, Nathan Deskins Jr., Buster Deskins, Wayne (Buddy) Deskins; sisters, Dixie Marcum, Rebecca Marcum, Rebecca Wellman, Opal June Browning, Elizabeth Marcum, and Estelene Vance. Marie was a faithful member of Cornerstone Christian Center for many years and will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her. A very special thank you to her loving caregivers, Cheryl Curry, Janice Hodge, Brenda Sturgell, and Brenda Davis. Surviving family include: her brother, Roger Deskins of Louisa, KY; sisters, Faye Dillon of Radnor, WV, Joann Grace of Darella, KY, Debbie Carroll of Louisa, KY, Rosetta Deskins Agler, Vickie Dameron, Mickie McCarthy, and Nora Vega, all of Columbus, OH; children, Barry (Sue) Copley, Jimmy (Gail) Copley, Ira (Debbie) Copley Jr., Denise (Bryan) Jude, and Billy Copley, all of Dingess, WV; grandchildren, Renee (Jimmy) Workman, Veronica (Charles) Griffin, Jimmy Dale (Lauren) Copley II, Darrell Eric (Irene) Maynard, Erica Denise Maynard, Ella (Austin) Fletcher, Nina (Jonathan) Hatfield, Jeremy Shane Copley, and Jeri Marshall. Twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Cornerstone Christian Center. Burial will follow at the Deskins-Conn Family Cemetery at Dingess, WV. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Dale Copley II, Darrell Eric Maynard, Jonathan Hatfield, Austin Fletcher, Jeromy Newsome, Jimmy Workman, Charles Griffin, Shane Copley, and Eric Maynard. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2018 also at Cornerstone Christian Center.
