Macelene Smith, 86, Departed her life to be with her Lord and Savior May 9th from her residence surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Cleon and Glenna Webb.

Macelene worked at Logan Regional as an Axillary Lady for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s face in any way she could, for most people, this included the countless number of meals she would make for the entire staff of the Emergency department. She had a passion for cooking, especially for the healthcare staff and made many people’s days by giving them the one and only mace’s home cooked meals. She gained countless relationships with the staff through her cooking, and everyone appreciated her greatly. She was a Christian lady who belonged to Sunbeam Chapel and trusted her faith into the Lord. She loved attending church on Wednesdays and Sundays to further her connection with Christ and to spend time with her church family who she cherished deeply. Macelene was a mother to 6 children who she loved abundantly. She had a special bond with each of them throughout their life.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Macelene are: her four Sisters, Alma Jo McNeely, Donna (Larry) Murr, Jean (Bob) Moreland, Beatrice (Cliff) Arrington, her one Brother, David Webb, her two Sons, Ray “Potchie” (Lana) Smith and Donald “Bud” Smith, her three Daughters, Dora (the late Tom) Swafford, Karen (Charlie) Walden, Cindy (Roger) Hooker, her 15 Grandchildren, and her 18 Great Grandchildren who she adored very much and her sweet little doggie that she cherished greatly, Pretty Girl; and a host of other loving family and friends. Macelene had a great life and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
