Lonzo H. Dean 81, of Robinette went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2010 at his home. He was born March 10, 1929 in Lincoln County a son of the late William Hendrick and Vada Hazelett Dean. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Bridgette Lee Dean and a host of brothers and sisters. Lonzo was retired from the Chessie System Railroad and a Army veteran of the Korean War. He was also of the Pentecostle Faith. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years Georgia Ann Browning Dean, 2 sons Joe (Patty) Dean of West Logan, David (Jennifer) Dean of Chapmanville, 2 daughters Trena (Scotty) Moore of Robinette and Patricia Ann (Lowe) Kazee of Switzer. 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 2 sisters Ouida Aldridge of Hamlin, Vivian Adkins of Ohio, 2 brothers Troy (Helen) Dean of Ohio and Donnie (Mary) Dean of Hamlin and a host of nieces and nephews and a very special sister-in-paw Bama Lou Peyton of Ethel who he considered as a sister and a very special friend James Compton of Mt. Gay and a host of friends. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the James Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don Sparks and Jimmy Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Military Graveside rites. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Derric mcComas, Joey Dean, Scotty Moore, Joey Moore, Ezra Browning and Gordon (Doc) Hale. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Dean and David Dean. James Funeral Home in Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
