Lois Mounts a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and sister passed away Thursday April 1, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. She was 72. Mounts a life long resident died after an extended illness. Lois grew up in Logan and worked at Logan Manufacturing from 1962 to 1997. She was also an active member of the Church of God in the name of Jesus Christ at Wilkinson. Her love of family was always evident. For years she organized and hosted the Mounts-Booth family reunion. Her home was always open to anyone needing help or a hot meal. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by her children and their families: John Mounts with whom she made her home, Jerry and Deborah Mounts of Stollings, Pam and Larry Szucs of Stollings and Ted and Kristin Mounts of Knoxville, Tn. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Morgan Mounts, Trevor Mounts, Madison Mounts and Amy Browning, Great grandchildren: Brandon and BJ Browning, 4 Sisters Viola Wilburn, Hazel Crum, Hester Litteral and Sadie Booth, In Laws: Eddie and Mary Mounts Dorothy Fouch, Ernest and Betty Booth, Charlie and Carlene Mounts, William Mounts, Otis and Judy Mounts, Sylvia Mounts, Geneva Mounts and a host of nieces and nephews. Her husband John, died in 1984 after 27 years of marriage. She wa also preceded in death by her parents Lucy and Ora Booth, her sister Bessie Booth, 3 brothers Willie, Andy and Arnett Booth and in laws: Joe Mounts, Jr., Milton Mounts and Dorine Ott. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Monday April 5, 2010 at James Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
