Leona Block

Leona Block, 87 of Logan departed this life Monday September 5 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born January 19, 1929 in Logan she was the daughter of the late Wade Mckinney and Bertha Osborne McKinney. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas E. Block; sisters, Joann Marcum, Kathleen Workman, Coralee Curry, and Betty York; brother, Arthur McKinney, Alan McKinney, and Charles Ray McKinney. Mrs. Block was a homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory include: her sons, Steven Block and Thomas Block Jr.; daughters, Barbara Workman and Diana Johnson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday September 8 at Akers-James Funeral Home in Aracoma. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
