Kimberly Gail Butcher

Kimberly Gail Butcher, 66 of Verdunville, WV went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2026.

She was born January 22, 1960, in Williamson, WV to Nellene (Williamson) Metcalf and the late Henry Kendrick. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her “Pops”, Jerry Metcalf; brother, Greg Kendrick; sister, Tammy Bryer; and a special great-nephew, Jaxson Butcher.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Frank Butcher; her mother, Nellene Metcalf; children, Jeramiah (Missy) Kendrick, Amber (Steven) Deskins, and Joshua Kendrick; grandchildren, Kailee (Chris) Christian, McKenna (Benji) Adkins, Jade Kendrick, Kaelynn DuChaine, Gabriella Duchaine, and Kairi Gaussisan; great-grandchildren, Cooper & Walker Christian, Berkley & Ben Adkins; siblings, Tim (Brenda) Kendrick, Rhonda (Jeff) Deal, and Karen (Chris) Metcalf; special niece and nephew, Ashley & Christopher Butcher, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Scott Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore-Butcher Family Cemetery at Verdunville. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, also at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Frank Butcher, Jeramiah Kendrick, Steven Deskins, Christopher Butcher, Chris Christian, Benji Adkins, Chris Voss, and Bill Burger. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Kendrick, Jeff Deal, and Keaton Metcalf.
