Katheryn (Kathy) Nicolette Vance

Katheryn Nicolette “Kathy” Vance, 57, of Charleston, formerly of Logan, departed this world Friday, March 20, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. Born September 22, 1957 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late John Sobus and Angelica Scaramuzzino. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Steven Rainwater. Those left to cherish her memory includes 3 children: Shannan (Robert) Devant of Pittsburgh, PA, Kevin Rainwater of Charleston, and Gary (Carla) Rainwater of Mt. Gay; one sister, Mary Hicks of Logan; two brothers: Anthony Sobus of Logan and Father Jim Sobus of Huntington; and a host of other dear family and friends. A celebration of life will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at James Funeral Home in Logan with Rev. Carlos Dingess officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby. Kathy will be carried to rest by her family and friends. Friends may call at the funeral from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
