Karen L. McCloud

Karen L. (Rockel) McCloud, 69 of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 10, 2025.

She was born July 12, 1956 in Dayton, OH to the late Sherman and Mavis Rockel. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dennis McCloud; son, Dennis “DJ” McCloud II; brothers, Sherman Scott Rockel, Noah Robert Rockel, and Ricky Charles Rockel.

Karen was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Center for 22 years and was a retired nurse.

She is survived by her daughter, Missy (Jason) Smith; grandchildren, Allison (Isaac) Moore, Madison (Brycen) Gore; great-grandchild, Dayton James Moore; brothers, David (Connie) Rockel of Williamson, Larry (Debbie) Rockel of Dingess, and Mark (Peggy) Rockel of Dingess; sisters, Linda (Steve) Denny of Pleasant Garden, NC, Robin (Larry) Charles of Pecks Mill, Tonya (Benny) Browning of Adams, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Cornerstone Christian Center at Dingess with Pastor Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the McCloud Cemetery at Dingess. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 also at the church.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Moore, Brycen Gore, Jason Smith, David Rockel, Mark Rockel, and Larry Rockel.
