Joseph Lee Bias aka "7 toe Joe" of Henlawson, WV, born October 14, 1979 passed away Sunday October 23 2016 at the age of 37.
Joseph "Joe B" proudly served his country through tours of service in Germany, Korea, Baghdad, Iraq and Iran. During which he received numerous decorations, medals and awards. Joseph knew no stranger and his smile was contagious and said 1,000 things without saying a word. He was always on the go never slowed down. He was surely one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
Preceding him in death: maternal Grandparents, Fred and Brookie Workman, paternal Grandparents, Thomas Junior and Cordie Mae Bias, Sister, Stephanie Bias, Step-Father Barry Collins.
Those left to cherish his memories include: his children, Olivia and Evan Bias; parents, Glenna Collins of Henlawson, Jess (Pam) Bias of Van; brothers, Eddie (Michele) Bias of St. Albans, Leonard (Sarah) Marcum of Greenview; sisters, Kellie Conley of Henlawson, Elisha Smith of Van; nieces and nephews, Tyler Mullins, Katelyn Conley, Allyson and Jacob Bias, Gabriel, Ezekiel, and Nickatie Smith , Lilli, Everett, LJ, and Lucas Marcum, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, military family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday October 28 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Layton Lockhart & Rev. Larry Light officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Vance Cemetery at Holden.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 â 9 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home.
