Jordan Butcher

Tyler Jordan Butcher, 33 of Crooked Creek, WV departed this life Thursday, Dec.21,2023, at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston WV.

Jordan was born, December 19th, 1990, in Huntington WV to Hulett Tracy Butcher Jr. and Naomi Lynne (McNeely) Butcher. Jordan married his wife Kaylee Nikole (Maynard) Butcher on February 13th, 2021. They welcomed their son Kyler Jordan Butcher on June 26th, 2023.

Jordan was a 2009 graduate of Logan High School, a 2014 graduate of WV State University, and a 2018 graduate of WV State Police Academy. He was a former police officer with the WV Division of Natural Resources. (WV DNR) He currently worked for Frontier Communications. He was a member of the CWA Local 2001 Union, and he was a member of the Crooked Creek Church of Christ.

Jordan had a great love for Kaylee, Kyler, and his family. Jordan was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and spending time in the mountains with his family and friends.

Jordan is survived by his loving wife Kaylee and their son Kyler; his parents, Tracy, and Lynne Butcher; siblings, Kara and Garrett Poole, Ryan and Tori Butcher, and Trace and Anna Butcher. Nieces and nephew; Lillian and Scarlett Poole and Rylee and Ridge Butcher.
In addition, he is survived by his father-in-law, Charlie Maynard; sister and brother-in-law, Kellie and Larry Lucas; nieces, Lara and Lonna Lucas; and beloved puppy dogs, Daisy, and
Dixie.

Jordan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hulett and Lucretia Butcher; maternal grandparents, Howard and Pam McNeely; mother-in-law, Debbie Oliver; and maternal uncle, Mark McNeely.

Jordan is also survived by a host of family, friends, coworkers, and a community that he loved and that loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28th,2023 at 1:00pm at The Willie Akers Arena in Logan, WV. Visitation is Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at The Willie Akers Arena in Logan, WV.

Pallbearers will be, Ryan Butcher, Trace Butcher, Garrett Poole, Larry Lucas, Ross Workman, and Shane Porter.
