Hope Heaven has a John Deere. Johnny âJackieâ Boytek III, 73, of Blair went to a heavenly reunion on Monday, October 25th 2010. He was born February 7th 1937. Johnny retired from Arch Coal at the Ruffner Mine. He was of Christian faith, a member of the UMWA local 5958, Beni-Kedem Shriners, and received his 50 year member pin earlier in the year from the Masonic Aracoma 99 Lodge of Logan.
Preceeding him in death and awaiting him were his mother and father; Betty Jo and Johnny Boytek II, his brother; Roger Dale Boytek, and his beloved wife of 47 years; Jennie Boytek.
Those left with great memories of him are his daughters; Pam (Tuffy) Fortune of Chapmanville, Jacquie Boytek of Blair, Mary âGood Girlâ (Bill) Egnor of Morrisvale. His grandchildren; Jennifer,Travis, Wyndee and Charyne Fortune, Brandon Sloan, and Kaylea and Kassidy Egnor, great grandchildren; Jerzee and Nyra Waters and Brystal Fulk. Special neices; Julie (David) Morgan and boys Oliver and Sam of Athens; Johnnie Mae Boytek of Danville and a host of friends.
The family would like to give a heartfelt âThank Youâ to Johnnyâs extended family at Boone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to his nurses from Dignity Hospice.
Services are as Follows: Visitation Thursday October 28th at James Funeral Home at West Logan, Funeral Friday October 29th at 2:00 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
His Masonic brothers will serve as pallbearers.
