Whitman

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our husband and father John Henry Welch Jr., 77 of Whitman, Wv. formally of Dehue, Wv. Surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren,  peacefully passed away Tuesday night March 21st, 2023, at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, Wv. after battling a long illness. He gained his eternal rest and peace with our Lord Jesus Christ and his passed on loved ones. Our husband and father, our hero was the most kind and genuine spirit that was like no other, that would light up the universe when you were in his presence. He was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He had his own unique way of making everyone feel loved and cared for. He was always there when you needed him. He so very much loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed each and everyday along with holiday get togethers, camping, fishing, watching WWE, or just swinging on the porch with a hot cup of coffee with his family and was always cracking a joke. Our hearts are full of sorrow and things will never be the same without him. We are going to miss him until the day we are all together again. We know he will be waiting for us and watching over us from heaven.
