Joe Willis Neece

Joe Willis Neece, 76, of Holden departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 31, 2009 at the Logan Center. He was born September 30, 1933 at Holden a son of the late James and Grace muncey Neece. He was preceded in death by one son Larry Joe Neece, 5 brothers Carl "Rabbit", Paul "Booty", Jimmy, Robert and Elza Neece. One sister Virginia Keyser. He was a retired coal miner and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Maxine Jean neece, two sons David Preston and David Brian Neece all of Holden. Additional survivors include two grandsons Larry Joe Neece II of Alaska and Joseph Curtis Neece of Tennessee and one very special great grandson Trevor Brian Neece of Peach Creek. Sisters Barbara Ingram of Holden, Marie Miller of huntington and Jaonn Leighton of Maryland. He also had lots of loving nieces and nephews and a special friend Jerry Browning of Mud Fork. Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John T. Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Rites.
