Joan Kirk

Joan Kirk, 84 of West Logan died Monday October 24 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1932 in Lundale, WV to the late Norman L. and Bessie Browning Sefton. Mrs. Kirk was retired from the Social Security Administration and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Logan, Logan’s Women’s Club and the D.A.R. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kirk; brother, Leroy Sefton; and sister, June Sefton Clark. Survivors include: Special Step-Daughter-In-Law, Becky Witten of Skiatook, OK; brothers, Jim (Lois) Sefton of Sissonville, Jack (Helen) Sefton of Ormond Beach, FL, Mark Sefton of West Logan, and John (Vicki) Sefton of Raceland, KY; sisters, Mary Randan of West Logan; 14 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday October 26 at Aker-James Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
